The Community Engagement Center (CEC) will be a 60,000 SF facility located at the heart of UNO’s campus. It will offer an example for urban universities wishing to engage their communities by offering flexible space for local not-for-profit organizations.
The programming process involved local tours of flexible, community-oriented spaces, meetings with campus planners, students, administrators and multiple user group listening sessions. Vision sessions considered campus context, community connectivity and students interaction.
