Yeslin Munoz
Architecture Intern
Yeslin is a part of a professional development model that fosters design and construction career pathways known as the Apprentice Academy. This program provides participants with actual projects to integrate purposefully applied academics with real-world practice experiences. These experiences are structured in a sequential way that accelerates their pathway concurrently with their secondary and post-secondary academic tracks. Yeslin is one of eight high school interns from the Ralston, District 66, Omaha Public or Millard Public school districts.
We at BCDM are happy to add her to the Apprentice Academy and BCDM this summer.

What was your favorite place you have traveled and why?
Chicago has to be my favorite place to travel. When I visited for the first time, I thought I’d live there for the rest of my life. The city is beautiful!
What’s the best advice you’ve heard and why?
The best advice I heard comes from the movie Meet the Robinsons. Throughout the film, the phrase “keep moving forward” is continuously mentioned. I have made mistakes and I failed, but that has never stopped me from just keep moving forward. Life is not a sprint, I just need to be patient with myself and others and remember to not give up so easily.
