The 14,000 square foot Wayne Library/Senior Center serves two organizations in one efficient facility. The library was designed to maximize staff efficiency, utilize space and use technology to streamline workflow.
From the specially designed circulation desk, a staff member can supervise the entire library while monitoring the computer center and the processing workroom. The exterior book return places books directly into the workroom for convenient re-entry into the library system. Direct visibility from the workroom to the circulation desk allows one person to staff both areas.
